Sunday Worship

Sunday Worship

Last Sunday, our concluding point was that if you've found Jesus, you'll want to bring others to Jesus, too. But for so many of us, this seems a daunting task. What if our friends reject us? What if they think we're silly? What if they have questions about God or the Bible that we aren't prepared to answer? What if it all falls flat? In other words, how can we overcome our fears surrounding evangelism?

This Sunday's passage (John 1:43-51) will give us some encouragement, as we consider how one new follower of Jesus introduced his friend to him. He didn't have all the answers either; he simply invited him to "come and see."

Join us this Sunday for prayer at 9:30, worship and communion at 10:00, and fellowship downstairs after the service. And maybe invite a friend to "come and see."

Communion

Communion

We will celebrate Communion this Sunday during the service, remembering the Body and Blood of Christ together.

Neighborhood Block Party

Neighborhood Block Party

Invite a friend for our Neighborhood Block Party to be held in the Grace Church parking lot on Saturday, October 18 from 1:00-5:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to let our neighbors know who we are, and that we are here for them. There will be music, food, and fun for the whole family! See Fulika Cassell for more details.

Community Groups

Community Groups

We were made to follow Christ together, in community. This fall, several groups will be doing just that. Some will meet weekly; others twice a month. Some will meet at Grace; others in homes. We definitely have a group for you! Consider which one might work, then reach out to the Leader directly, or contact office@gracestamford.org for more info. We hope everyone at Grace will join a group this fall!

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

We are excited to participate in this annual event to bless children and share the Gospel with them this Christmas. The shoeboxes and labels are here. Our goal is to fill all 100 boxes! Fill a box with small toys, clothing items, toiletries, and a personal message from you. Also consider including the $10 cost of shipping (instructions for that are on the labels). Return filled boxes to Grace Church between 10/26 and 11/16. See Patty Assatly or Stephanie Barrera for more details. Visit the website to learn more.
