Pastor Tom Mahairas, lead Pastor at Manhattan Bible Church, will be preaching this Sunday. The scripture passage is 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, with a sermon titled: "The Search for Significance."

We will celebrate Communion this Sunday during the service, remembering the Body and Blood of Christ together.

Message Titled: The Parable of the Prodigal Son

1. Who do you relate to in this story the most?

2. How does the description Jesus gives of our Father in Heaven differ from your perception? How might your upbringing relate to that? What is the right view of od according to this passage?

3. What does it say about salvation as opposed to what maybe even some Christians believe?

3.  How can we be closer to being like Jesus: being holy but inviting people in no matter where they are? What can we learn from the older brother/

Our Annual Church Baptism & Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 13 at Cove Island Park. If you are interested in being baptized, please speak with Elder Dave Rucquoi. Sign up sheets for food and beverages are in the foyer. See Lisa DeJesus for details on food.

Grace Church has started weekly youth meetings, every Sunday evening, 5:00-7:00 pm. There will be games, fellowship, and studying the Word of God. See Stephanie Jones or Gavin Pickard for details.

Middle and High Schoolers now have their own class time each week. Meet in the Youth Room in Taylor Hall when the younger children are dismissed at sermon time.  See Stephanie Jones or Gavin Pickard for more details.

The Search Committee is excited to move into the next phase of our process! We have retained a professional search firm that will help us in our next steps.
