Jakob MacDonald, Youth Pastor at Hope Church, will be preaching this Sunday. The scripture passage is Romans 5:1-11, with a sermon titled: "Living an Anchored Life."

After the service this Sunday, August 9, there will be a Partners Meeting to vote on the amendment to our Church Constitution. The amendment allows for a change in the number of Elders on the Board due to our current circumstances. Grace Church Partners are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Message Titled: Jesus Loves You: Obey Him

1. Obedience is a choice - sometimes easy, sometimes difficult. How do you prepare yourself to choose to obey when obedience is difficult?

2. Scripture tells us opbedience brings blessings, and disobedience curses - also known as God's loving correction. To which do you thing you respond better - the carrot of blessing? or the stick of correction? And why?

3. How does knowing "curses" are an expression of God's love for you and His desire for you to have His best change how you see hardship and struggle?

4. Obedience is impossible without trust. Trust is impossible without knowing. And knowing isn't possible without time, effort, and communication. What more can you do this week to deepen your communication with the Lord?

Whether you are young in age, or young at heart, join us on Saturday, August 15 at 10:00 am for some summer fun! We will have kickball, pizza, and some fellowship time in the Grace Church parking lot.

Our Annual Church Baptism & Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 13 at Cove Island Park. If you are interested in being baptized, please speak with Elder Dave Rucquoi. Sign up sheets for food and beverages are available in the foyer. See Lisa DeJesus for details on food.
