Please join us this Sunday, October 1, at Cove Island as we hand out free water bottles with scripture verses and talk to people about Jesus. We will meet at the bridge to the right as you are going into the park at 12:00 noon.

It's time to fill the shoeboxes! This is a great way to share the love of Jesus with children in need at Christmas. Boxes will be available after the service. Sign up for boxes, fill them and return them to Grace Church no later than November 5. Items can include small toys, school supplies, personal care items, a hand written note from you, and more. Community Groups will meet Wednesday evenings in Taylor Hall at 6:30 pm, Saturdays beginning October 14 at the Hansen's home at 5:30 pm, and Sundays beginning October 8 at the Rucquoi's home at 5:00 pm. These are gatherings for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. There are sign up sheets on the Welcome table in the foyer. If you are interested in joining a group, contact office@gracestamford.org for more information.

The Welcome To Grace lunch for newcomers is scheduled for October 15. If you would like to attend, please contact office@gracestamford.org. We look forward to getting to know you better!

Our prayer focus this week is the Church. Pray that the church worldwide would be a powerful witness of God's love and grace.

Continue to pray for our church family, including: John Egan, Jenna Custodio, Jo Rucquoi, Cisco Garcia III (CJ), Patricia Dance, Julie Horton, Rachel Bacon, Marilyn & Serge Gabriel, Eloise Mathis, Eloise Jordan, Anne Gallo, Anne Ragoonanan, and Virginia Jordan. Pray also for Agar Alcin and Elaine Mehan who are unable to attend.

Women in Prayer will begin meeting on October 8 at 9:15 am before the Sunday service. It is open to all women. The group will be praying for our church, community, country, and world. They meet in the Youth Room in Taylor Hall. Contact office@gracestamford.org for information.
