Hello Grace Family! It's time for our next Resource of the Month. It's a YouTube channel called Red Pen Logic.

Have you ever heard someone say "Jesus didn't say anything about ______?" 

They might fill in the blank with...

- same-sex marriage

- transgenderism

- the exclusivity of Christianity

- Hell or condemnation

Or maybe the opposition isn't about Jesus' exact words, but about the Bible more generally. They'll say things like...

- "This passage has been misinterpreted."

- "The biblical authors didn't know what we know now."

-"That was their truth back then, but it's not my truth today."

- "That was just a myth."

My point is: how do you know whose interpretation of the Scriptures is faithful? 

Enter: Red Pen Logic. 

Hosted by Tim Barnett ("Mr. B."), a gifted apologist and Bible teacher with Stand to Reason (STR), Red Pen Logic brings clarity to confusion by using a metaphorical "red pen" to correct the flawed thinking found in viral social media posts, memes, and videos that challenge Christianity and biblical truth. His corrections are not dry or academic; they are engaging, accessible, and often humorous. Best of all, they are faithful to God's Word.  

The two keys to Mr. B.'s appoach are" (1) faithful biblical exegsesis, and (2) sound reasoning. Each video is a masterclass on how to engage and overcome the common cultural arguments we hear today with faithfulness, clarity, love, and grace. 

Do your friends or family object to Christianity because of one of the many hot topics in our culture? Do they think they've found a Bible passage that supports their point of view, or seems to expose a contradiction in the Bible, or perhaps even unravels the orthodox Christian faith altogether? Then head over to Red Pen Logic and listen to Mr. B. as he clearly and succinctly dismantles unfaithful interpretations of God's Word with grace.

Just to be clear: this isn't seminary-level material. In fact, I think that's half the point he's making. He's demonstrating that the tools of faithful biblical interpretation are accessible to anyone who will simply take a few minutes to think, learn, and apply themselves. You don't need a master's degree to know when someone is mishandling the Word. This is for you!

Maybe you're a young adult whose faith in Christ increasingly puts you at odds with your peers. Maybe you're a parent or grandparent seeking to understand the messages our children and granchhildren are hearing. Wherever you are in your faith, this channel will give you sharp, biblical tools to engage in meaningful conversations.

I hope this resource will equip you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3), and to always be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in you, and to do so with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
